What this policy covers

This policy covers the website at cmmmstudios.com, operated by CMMM Studios LLC, Los Angeles, California.

It does not cover the FieldJot Android app. FieldJot works offline, has no account, and does not send your reports anywhere — it is described separately in the FieldJot privacy policy. The two are deliberately kept apart because they behave very differently.

The short version

• We run our own analytics on this site, hosted on our own server. It uses no cookies and shares nothing with anyone else.
• We do not run advertising pixels or third-party tracking scripts.
• We do not set tracking cookies, and we do not sell data.
• The web server keeps ordinary access logs, as effectively every web server does.
• If you submit a form, we store what you typed and email it to ourselves so we can reply.
• Cloudflare sits in front of the site and provides the spam check on our forms.

Server logs

Our web server records a standard log line for each request: your IP address, the date and time, the page or file requested, the HTTP status, the referring page, and your browser's user-agent string.

We use these to keep the site running and to investigate errors and abuse. They are not used to build a profile of you and are not combined with anything else.

Forms you submit

The site has a contact form, a feedback form, a FieldJot launch-notification form, and a CMMM Tracker interest form. When you submit one, we record:

• the fields you filled in — typically name, email, and, depending on the form, company, role, or a message;
• which form it was and when it was submitted;
• the IP address and user-agent the submission came from, which we keep to investigate spam and abuse.

Submissions are stored in a database on our own server and are also emailed to us through Resend, the service that delivers our mail. Most forms also send you a short confirmation email.

We use this only to reply to you and, for the FieldJot launch list, to email you once when FieldJot is publicly available. Joining a launch list or waitlist does not subscribe you to a newsletter, and the lists are kept separate from one another — registering interest in Tracker does not add you to FieldJot email, or the reverse.

Website analytics

We measure how this website is used so we can improve it. The software is Umami, and we run it ourselves on the same server that serves this site.

That matters more than the brand name: your visit is not sent to Google, or to any other analytics company. There is no third-party processor involved and no data-sharing arrangement to disclose.

For each page view we record:

• the page you viewed, and the page or search that referred you;
• any campaign tags on the link you followed (the utm_ parameters);
• your browser, operating system, device type, and screen size;
• your country, derived from your IP address — the address itself is not stored;
• whether you submitted a form or clicked a main call to action.

No cookies are involved. Umami recognises a visit using a hash that is regenerated daily, rather than storing an identifier on your device. That is why this site has no cookie banner: there is nothing persistent to ask you about. It also means we cannot follow you across other websites, and we cannot recognise you when you come back tomorrow.

The analytics script is served from this domain rather than an outside one. It is our own code on our own server, so a privacy blocker that filters third-party analytics hosts will not see it as one.

Cloudflare and spam protection

Cloudflare provides the CDN and security layer in front of this site, so your requests pass through Cloudflare's network before reaching our server.

Our forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to tell people apart from bots. Turnstile is the only script on this site loaded from someone else's server, it loads only on pages that have a form, and Cloudflare states that it does not use it to track users across sites. Cloudflare's handling of that data is covered by Cloudflare's privacy policy.

What we do not do

• No Google Analytics, and no analytics product run by anyone other than us. Our own analytics is described above.
• No advertising pixels — no Meta Pixel, no Google Ads tag, no LinkedIn or TikTok tag.
• No session recording, heatmaps, or A/B testing scripts.
• No third-party fonts — our typeface is served from our own server.
• No selling, renting, or sharing of your information for anyone else's marketing.

If that changes, this page changes with it, and the change will be visible here before it is live.

Cookies

This site sets no cookies of its own — our analytics is cookieless. Cloudflare may set cookies necessary for security and for the Turnstile check on form pages. There are no advertising or analytics cookies, so there is nothing to consent to and no cookie banner.

How long we keep things

Server logs rotate on the server's normal schedule and are overwritten as they age out.

Form submissions are currently kept indefinitely, because they are business correspondence — the record of someone asking us something. We would rather say that plainly than publish a retention period we do not actually enforce. If you would like your submission deleted, ask and we will delete it.

Your choices

Email hello@cmmmstudios.com and we will, within a reasonable time:

• tell you what we hold that is associated with your email address;
• correct it;
• delete it;
• remove you from the FieldJot launch list or either waitlist.

You do not need to give a reason, and we do not require you to create an account to ask — there are no accounts on this site.

Children

This site and our products are intended for business use by adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes we will update the effective date at the top of the page. Material changes will be described rather than quietly edited in.
